M.Iftikhar was born on November 8th, 1941.  M.Iftikhar's father was A.Majeed Tungekar and his mother was Fatima Thakur.  His paternal grandparents were M.Ibrahim (Bapuseth) Tungekar and Hawa Bibi Bhaiji; his maternal grandparents are Malik Yusuf Thakur and Jameela Tungekar. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Azam, M.Suhail, Malika Hawa and Talat. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Aqeel, Laik, Raza, Farid, Almas, Jabeen and Zareen.  He died at the age of 65 on January 12th, 2007 in Y.
